The cards are dealt one by one to each player. If there are two players, each receives seven cards. With more than two players, each player is dealt five cards. Place the rest of the deck, face down, in the center of the table.
The objective of the game is to collect matching pairs of cards. Each player upon their turn calls another by name and asks for a specific card. For example, “Lilly, do you have Louie The Poodle?” If the player asked is holding the card, he/she must give it up. The asker’s turn continues so long as he/she succeeds in getting cards. If the player asked does not have the card, he/she announces, “Go Doggo.” The asker then draws the top card from the deck and the turn passes to the left.
Whenever a player gets a pair, he or she must place the cards, face-up, on the table. The one who collects the most pairs wins the game.
Before play, remove one card from the deck and place it face down. Deal the remaining cards, one by one, to each player. Players then discard all of their pairs, face up. Next, the dealer offers his or her hand, face down, to the player on the left, who draws one card. If the player draws a match, he/she discards the pair, face up. This player then offers his/her hand to the player on the left, who draws one card, and so on, until all but one card has been paired. The player holding this odd card is the winner and shouts, "Odd Doggo Wins!"
All the cards are dealt face down on a large surface in neat rows. The players, in turn, then turn over any two cards without disturbing their position in the rows. If a pair is revealed, the player removes them and goes again. If no pair is formed, the player turns the cards face down again, and the turn passes to the left. If close attention is paid, it will be easier to find pairs. The player who finds the most pairs wins the game.
